Happy December everybody! I know we’ve been under the radar for a little while now, (We’ll be providing an update soon) but we’re back to share some older songs that might be brand new for many of you.
Back in the Summer of 2007 Sun E Boi and thePOET came together for our first project years before the moniker Neo-Nephilim Theory was even thought of. The result was Music Inspired by Life, an 8 track super-fun, sample-based collection of songs that truly reflected where we were at the time – a couple of college students separated by roughly 250 miles (Irvine-Las Vegas) who loved to have fun and make music. After it was done we threw our first CD release party and started getting the album out to everyone we could.
After taking an honest listen we decided to remix some songs and add a couple more tracks. Then came Music Inspired by Life ’08. Below are all the songs we could post on Youtube in the order they appear on the album. As we move forward it’s also a good idea to look back to see how far we’ve come. Enjoy!

To our dearest fans, supporters, friends and family,
Since coming together as artists in 2007, we’ve always done our best to keep true to our three principles: Encouragement, Education and Enlightenment. Today, as we celebrate the launch of our brand, NNT Entertainment, we are requesting your help in our commitment to the second of these principles, Education.
thePOET, also known as Avelino Pitts, started his University education in 2004 at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he held a 3.59 GPA and was recognized on the Dean’s List for 5 semesters. Avelino was forced to take an indefinite leave of absence in 2009, due to financial complications outside of his control.
After reaching financially independent status in 2010 and determined to shed the financial woes of the past, he made the decision to finish his degree in California where he has since established residency.
I congratulate Avelino for being relentless in his pursuit of higher education despite the setbacks he has faced. He has since been admitted to the University of California, Irvine where he is set to begin studies in the Fall of 2011 as a Film and Media Studies Major.
Uncannily passionate about film since childhood, Avelino has always been especially fond of the motion picture’s ability to move people emotionally. “Cinema [is] such a beautiful medium … If everything is in its place, working perfectly, then watching [a movie] can be one of the most influential experiences an individual can have. My goal is to create a space where a person is influenced emotionally, politically, socially and culturally.”
Avelino’s pursuit of higher education is just a stepping stone to creating this beautiful space. With your support, we can bring it into reality.
Here’s how:
Ambitious though it may seem, we are going to raise $8,000 over the next month to ensure that Avelino may continue his education. This amount of money is needed in order to release the hold that was placed on his financial aid 2 years ago. After this amount is paid off, he will be able to fund the rest of his education through personal funds and federal aid.
But here is where it gets fun!
We feel that as artists we have an obligation to give back to the community that supports us. So for each donation we will provide a gift in the form of music and video giveaways, album credits and even a personal concert where we’ll debut all of our newest music live! This fundraiser is only the beginning of what will become a lasting scholarship, which will support academically excelling students entering colleges and universities who have been admitted into programs in the Arts.
Sounds great, right?
Donations are easy to make online through PayPal (no account necessary), and the gifts you receive for each donation level are listed below.
Thank you for your time, donations and most importantly, your continued support. It is through you that we will be able to realize our dreams.
Sincerely,
Sun E Boi on behalf of NNT Entertainment

For your enjoyment:
Here’s a track that’s as of right now has no home except here for you. This is a little experiment that Neo-Nephilim Theory concocted let us know what you think.
So as you may or may not know, the radio show is on hiatus for the time being… but that doesn’t mean we’re not gonna keep you updated with new music! We did a show last Wednesday for the UC Irvine chapter of Women and Criminal Justice Network’s 2nd annual Benefit Concert. After having such a great time at the first one, we knew we had to come back for the second show in a row which promised to be bigger and better in every way.
Below we have the videos of the entire performance from beginning to end. We were really excited to try out our new songs (“Check it, Check it” and “Solace”) and live instrumentation and loved the way it turned out. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us and everyone who continues to support us!

Neo-Nephilim Theory – Getting Inside the Minds of Sun E Boi and thePOET
As we’ve mentioned in previous episodes, it’s hard those of us inside the U.S. to hear music from artists outside of the U.S. because of the sort of “media bubble” that we live in that seems to send out 100 thousand trillion times the amount of music and movies that it lets in. This unfortunate phenomenon not only keeps us from experiencing some amazing artists here, but also keeps Americans looking like fools abroad.
So today, in our attempt to burst that bubble, we play music from 6 international artists, each from a different continent, in order to expand our musical horizons and just listen to some damn good songs.

Broadcasting straight from a secluded beach in Thailand, we bring you the Beach Music episode of NNT Radio. Today we play the songs that fit our mood as we stretch out in the sun, thousands of miles away from home, taking in the beautiful scenery (just look at the picture above, I mean c’mon!)
We hope you’re able to take a 30 minute musical vacation with us and enjoy the sights …er sounds along with us!

Neo-Nephilim Theory – Getting Inside the Minds of Sun E Boi and thePOET
It’s said that everyone on the planet is separated by 6 or less people or “degrees.” To test this theory we designed a little experiment and decided to start with one of our musical idols and greatest influences, Michael Jackson (R.I.P.)
So just how is it that Neo-Nephilim Theory the exciting, up and coming musical duo is actually only 6 degrees of separation from the King of Pop? These answers and more coming up in today’s episode of NNT Radio!
After listening to the episode make sure to check out artists Inverse on iTunes.

From time to time we feel the need to serve a more traditional radio station role and broadcast some new music. There’s some artists coming out with new albums (some have come out since this episode aired) that we are really excited for and we thought we’d share that excitement with you!
Today we play:
John Legend and the Roots – “Wake Up” (feat. Melanie Fiona and Common), Maroon 5 – “Give a Little More“, Cee-lo Green – “Forget You” (link is not radio version), The Foreign Exchange – “Maybe She’ll Dream of Me“, Kanye West – “Devil in a New Dress” and Lupe Fiasco – “Go to Sleep“
Be sure to also check out fellow music blogger, artist and good friend M.E.R.C.U.R.Y.’s interviews with The Foreign Exchange!
